Mudi kuttu/pearl knots

Now a days what we have calling pearl knots/french knots are called as Mudi kuttu in olden days. These French knots we can use as like in the place of beads, chips, etc., Sometimes we can use for filling also.

Here I have done French knots for the design on my bed sheet.Four colors i took to complete this bed sheet. Here we can see that....... The colors i have used are green, red, violet, blue color.

mudi kuttu, pearl knots

Its worked on pure cotton bed sheet. So it took just 3 days to complete this project. The beauty of mudi kuttu design is improved the beauty of my bed sheet. wat u say frnds....

French knots Tutorial:

Method 1: French knots are done by holding the thread in left hand and wrapping the thread and then inserting in to the fabric. By this method you have to put down the hoop for each knot.

Method 2: It is usually not understand by saying. so that's why i will post the video tutorial of this very soon.

The full bed sheet after completion of project is.......

I hope all of you like this. plz post ur feelings through ur comments........

Bommala koluvu

Recently i have attended for bommala koluvu.

Bommala Koluvu is a display of dolls and toys depicting Gods of the Hindu pantheon on a platform of steps like in the picture. The steps are always numbered odd for some reason. One can follow a specific theme in displays like depicting the Ramayana or scenes from it or other mythologies. Or, one can display the household dolls without any specific theme.

now iam posting some pictures of that function.

But, I am glad that our traditions are alive and available to the next gen.

Screen Printing Tutorial,Tips

SCREEN PRINTING:

Materials needed for colour screen print:

1. Design screen.

2. Table gum to apply on the painted table so that your cloth doesn't move.

3. proportion is if u take Khadi Binder - 1 spoon then Pigment Colour - 2 drops and fixer - 2 drops.

Mix well and use it immediately.

4. u should use squeezer to apply the colour on the design atleast 2 times. The design will be in a screen.

5. If you are going to use a multi design screen close the other designs using cello tape. u should just rub on the design in the too and fro motion with the colour.

u need not use fixer for cotton materials.

u should use separate binder for gold print.

6. For gold print:

Gold binder 1 spoon, Golden powder small amount and fixer - 3 drops.

Gold print

7. For Glitter print:

Glitter binder, glitter screen, Glitter powder small amount and fixer - 3 drops.
